Do Your Part - Bring Back the Beer

Hey Neighbor! Have you tried a Gansett lately?  Well if you haven't you should give it a try!  The best buy in the cooler by far - a 16oz six pack for five dollars.  The lager is good but generic in taste.  What I mean by that is its a great cold quantity beer for parties and clambakes much like the Miller High Life. However I have been really enjoying roasted coffee notes and the delicate smooth mouth feel of the Narragansett Porter.  I made a beef stew and what a fantastic pairing! A seasonal beer it is truly changing the face of the Narragansett image. Sadly the seasons over.  But it is being replaced by an equally enjoyable bock beer.  Very smooth this beer delivers malty goodness with every sip - Oh Yeah - and its in a can.  That's right both the bock and porter are canned and the 16oz price is just under eight dollars. The new bock is brewed lighter than last years offering.  The beer is being brewed closer to home just over the line in Connecticut which is much closer than Rochester, New York where the lager is brewed.  I really hope the brewery will find its way back to the state of Rhode Island.  I know they want that Scituate water but I would love to see them set up shop in the old Peace Dale Mill near Wakefield, Rhode Island.  This picturesque granite mill minutes from Narragansett beach would make it a great tourist destination for beer lovers.  A beer garden would sit perfectly by the stream that flows through the property. And the URI students would bring a taste for Narragansett beer back to their home states.  So i left you a little video to convince you that the bock is worth trying - so please take the opportunity and enjoy a good beer neighbor.
